Indy 500 forecast preview
The question on every Hoosiers’ mind this week – Will it rain on Sunday? Sunday is the 109th running of the Indianapolis 500.
Lets start with Carb Day on Friday. Our warmest and sunniest day through the weekend. Starting out very cool in the morning with lows in the low 40’s. Sunshine will prevail but still a bit windy for the day. We will struggle to reach the mid 60’s. Make sure you take the sunscreen if your heading out to Carb Day festivities.

Saturday is Legends Day at the track. Once again a very cool start to the day in the mid 40’s. We’ll heat up a little into the mid 60’s but don’t expect to much sunshine. Scattered clouds most of the day with a very minor chance of a scattered sprinkles. Still a good idea for some sunscreen since the Uv levels will be high.

Race day is looking dry but very cool compared to average race day temps. A slim chance for showers Saturday night into very early Sunday are a possibility but shouldn’t impact the green flag. A steady wind and highs in the low to mid 60’s will be the best we get. Uv index will be high again so sunscreen definitely recommended even in cloudy conditions for the race.
