On April 11, 1965, a series of deadly tornadoes struck Indiana during the “Palm Sunday” outbreak, resulting in 137 deaths and over 1,200 injuries. This outbreak was the deadliest in Indiana’s history, with ten tornadoes causing widespread devastation in northern and central parts of the state.
