Carmel Street Dept.

Full closure of the intersection of 96th St and College Ave, and College Ave between the intersection and I-465. This closure will last until June 1st. Afterward, southbound traffic on College Ave will be maintained from 104th St. to 96th St., but only northbound access to I-465 will be allowed (no access beyond I-465), as we reconstruct the northbound lane of College Ave.

Construction for a new round-a-bout will begin at the intersection of Hazel Dell Parkway and East 106th Street on or after, Tuesday, May 28. During this partial closure, expect lane restrictions, on Hazell Dell Parkway for the duration of the project. Traffic traveling North and South between East 116th Street, and East 96th Street will be maintained during all phases of work. During the first half of construction, the center of Hazell Dell will be removed, with limited access to and from, East 106th Street for only southbound traffic. Expect no access to or from East 106th Street for northbound traffic during any phase of work, until the project is completed. Use detours of East 116th or East 96th Streets during all phases of work. The round-a-bout is expected to be complete in November.

March 2025 begins with the reconstruction of the west side of N. College Avenue with a closure of the southbound lane of N. College Avenue between E. 106th Street and I-465. Expect deconstruction of the road, infrastructure work, as well as the west side of the roundabout at Pennsylvania Parkway, and reconstruction of the southbound lane. The northbound lane will remain open on the new road during this phase of construction and there will be no access to Pennsylvania Parkway from N. College Avenue during this phase of work. Access to Pennsylvania Parkway will be maintained from the west during all phases of construction of N. College Avenue.

FAST Triathlon – Traffic Advisory

The Fishers FAST Triathlon is happening Saturday, May 17! Please take note of important traffic updates to ensure a smooth and safe event for participants and residents:

  • Road Closure: The right northbound lane of Olio Road will be closed from 104th to 113th Streets during the event.
  • Traffic Flow Recommendations: If traveling on 113th Street, we encourage westbound travel, as cyclists will be moving eastbound.
  • If traveling on 104th Street, we recommend eastbound travel, as cyclists will be moving westbound.

Utility Work – Lane restrictions

Beginning the week of May 12, the contractor will be running fiber on Southeastern Pkwy between Atlantic road and Cyntheanne rd, drivers should expect intermittant lane restrictions between 9am to 3pm.


Projects North of 116th Street


136th Street Widening – ROAD CLOSURE

As of Tuesday, April 1, 136th Street between Prairie Baptist Road and Cyntheanne Road has been closed to through traffic as construction begins on the reconstruction of the roadway.  Access to all of the homes and fire station off of 136th Street will be maintained only to eastbound traffic.  Westbound traffic will need to follow the attached detour route.  Access into Hunters Run and Silverton will be off of Prairie Baptist or Cyntheanne Road.  See a map of this closure here.

121st Street and Hoosier Road – Future Roundabout

Drivers can expect to see more construction activity at this intersection as the contractor works on utility relocation – keep an eye out for periodic lane restrictions Monday – Friday 9AM – 3PM

Road Restriction on Sunblest Blvd at Lantern Rd.

On the week of May 12th the contractor will be continuing work on repairing a drainage issue as a result there will be intermittant lane restrictions on Sunblest Blvd at Lantern Road from 9am – 3pm.

Southeastern Parkway Restrictions

Beginning on or after April 21st, expect to see lane restrictions along Southeastern Parkway, Cyntheanne Road and 126th Street as utilities perform aerial work along the roadway.  Flaggers will be in place between 9AM and 3PM.

131st and Howe Road – Future Roundabout

Drivers can expect to see more construction activity at this intersection as the contractor works on utility relocation – keep an eye out for periodic lane restrictions Monday – Friday 9AM – 3PM.

141st and Prairie Lakes Roundabout

The contractor will be working on striping touch ups a this roundabout the week of May 12 – there could be periodic lane restrictions from 9am to 3pm, please proceed with caution.


Projects South of 116th Street


96th Street Lane Restrictions

On the week of May 12, there will be intermittent lane restrictions on eastbound and westbound traffic between Hague road and Masters Road – between 9am and 3pm.

2025 Road Resurface Project

As of Monday, May 5th our contractor has begun curb and curb ramp work in the Sawgrass Subdivision. Homeowners will be notified via door hangers prior to any curb reconstruction near their home. After ADA ramp and curb reconstruction is completed, those areas will be restored with topsoil and seed. It is the responsibility of the homeowner to water the seed for the seed to germinate. 96th Street and Allisonville Road Intersection

The 96th & Allisonville roundabout is now open and accessible in all directions, making travel smoother and safer at one of the main gateways to our City. Please proceed with caution as this is still an active construction site. Expect periodic lane restrictions the week of May 12.

Heritage Park Bridge Trail Closure

The City of Fishers has partnered with the City of Carmel, Clay Township, Carmel Clay Parks and Recreation , Hamilton County, and Delaware Township to connect Heritage Park at White River and Carmel’s Hazel Landing Park with a bridge over White River. This new amenity will provide enhanced connectivity between the two communities, as well as new recreational opportunities for our residents. Click here for an aerial view. Construction is expected to occur Monday through Saturday beginning at 7 a.m. The bridge is expected to be complete in August 2025.

151st St & Towne Rd Roundabout: . Full closure for 80 days, starting no later than April 7, 2025, with a detour using 146th St, Ditch Rd, and 156th St. 

181st St & Wheeler Rd Roundabout: . Full closure for 45 days, starting no earlier than May 27, 2025, with a detour using 186th St, Grand Park Blvd, and SR 32. 

161st St & Spring Mill Rd Roundabout: . Full closure for 60 days, starting approximately April 25, 2025, with a detour using 156th St, Oak Ridge Rd or Ditch Rd, and 169th/171st St. 

State Road 32 (32 Connects project): . INDOT contractor Rieth-Riley Construction will close sections of SR 32 in Westfield, starting on or after April 7, 2025, for reconstruction as part of the 32 Connects project. This project includes a roundabout at the intersection of S.R. 32 and East Street, reconstruction of the corridor between Poplar Street and Timberbrook Run, and improvements to crosswalks, signs, and landscaping. 

South Union Street: . Closed for approximately 13 weeks, starting on May 28, to construct the Westfield Boulevard extension and Union Street tie-in.
